Iranian, Kazakh Provinces Signed MoU

MASHHAD, Khorasan Prov. Iran's Khorasan Province and southern Kazakhstan province have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on economic, commercial and cultural cooperation. Governor General of Khorasan Province Mohsen Mehr-Alizadeh and the Kazakh Governor General Qader Abdollahov signed the MoU. The two sides expressed satisfaction with the current friendly atmosphere in negotiations and called for expansion and consolidation of mutual relations in the commercial, economic and cultural areas.
According to one clause of the MoU, the two provinces will set up trade and industrial and engineering service exhibitions in both provinces. They also agreed to establish trade centers in the capital cities of the two provinces and air links and bus service for tourists. The southern Kazakhstan province with two million population occupies an area of 130,000 square kilometers.
